I was talking about Ubuntu for phones and I argued that it will not succeed because of the lack of companies -mobile manufacturers- supporting the OS, among others issues.
Well now it’s time for another player to come, Firefox OS is on the air. Firefox OS has a true support. The most important telcos are planning to develop apps and offer smartphones with it… sure it’s because they wanna fight agains iOS and Google but the fact is that they have agreed on supporting Firefox OS and not Ubuntu.
So, it’s time to see how fast Firefox OS appears in the market, I probably Ubuntu for phones remains in a market audience similar to Cyanogen fans, unless Ubuntu for phones achieve a manufacturer or telco partnership
